Leading Motor Mechanic LEONARD WILLIAM EDWARD JUBB was one of 8 men killed, onboard His Majesty's Landing Craft Tank (HMLCT) 967 when it was mined and sunk on Tuesday the 13th June 1944.

 

There is conflicting information on where the landing craft was built.1 It is not presently known where, precisely, it was sunk off the Normandy coastline.2

1. The Clyde Built Ships website state that Landing Craft Tank 967, a steel motor vessel, was built by Arrol & Co Ltd, Glasgow in 1942. uboat.net website state that Landing Craft Tank (Mk 4) 967, was ordered on 13 November 1942 and built by A. Findlay (Old Kirkpatrick, Scotland, United Kingdom).
